2018年12月18日上午10点,“上海设计10×10”展在上海美术学院美术馆隆重开幕,此次展览旨在提升“上海设计”的国际影响力,增进 “上海设计”在全球的推广宣传。参加此次展览开幕式的有来自十个顶尖设计大赛组织的专家代表及国际设计师,他们分别是:台湾设计联盟理事长、台湾工业设计协会理事长、台湾文化创意产业联盟协会创会理事长,全球学生创意设计大赛-台湾计划主持人,也是本次展览的总策展人林磐耸先生;俄罗斯莫斯科金蜜蜂国际平面设计双年展主席、国际平面设计联盟(AGI)会员谢尔盖·谢罗夫先生;澳大利亚国际设计奖创始人罗伯特·蒂勒先生;德国iF设计奖深圳公司总经理林宜君女士;香港设计中心DFA设计奖项目策划人周咏贤女士;GDC平面设计在中国总策展人、组委会主席许礼贤先生;芬兰拉赫蒂国际海报三年展主席佩卡·洛伊里先生;国际平面设计联盟(AGI)会员芬·尼嘉德先生;韩国工业艺术家协会(KIAA)会长、韩国现代设计协会(KECD)顾问、韩国视觉信息设计协会(VIDAK)顾问白金男先生;AKQA(雅酷广告)执行创意总监、美国Nike全球视觉影像创意设计总监埃里克·克鲁兹先生。



以及职业设计师、各界设计教育工作者、上海美术学院的师生们,包括上海美术学院院务委员会主任陈静女士、上海美术学院副院长陈青女士、上海美术学院党委副书记王岭山先生、上海美术学院设计系系主任赵阳先生及其师生们、建筑系主任魏秦女士及其师生们、数码系主任李谦升先生及其师生们、手工艺系主任郭新女士及其师生们等。



开幕式由上海美术学院副院长陈青教授主持,她首先对此次展览的背景进行了简要介绍。此次展览邀请到了来自世界各地的十个顶级设计大赛,分别选出10件优秀获奖作品参与此次展览,以展览、论坛和画册出版的形式,建构成为连结全球设计“大赛×大奖×大师”的最佳平台,形塑全球设计交流互动的最高殿堂“世界设计大奖:The World of Design Awards”项目。这十个著名的设计大赛分别是:

作为主办方,上海美术学院院务委员会主任陈静女士代表冯远院长致欢迎辞,首先她代表学院向远道而来的各位专家表示了热烈欢迎,她表示,设计可以说在人类历史上有着举足轻重的地位,人类发展的历史便是一部设计的历史。今天,我们对美和人生意义的追求,更让设计在造物流程中显得前所未有的重要,设计的疆域也有了空前的拓展。上海美术学院希望借此机会,提升“上海设计”的国际影响力。



接着,此次展览的总策展人林磐耸先生上台进行了发言,他在讲话中向支持此次大赛的所有人表示了感谢,他认为十个顶尖设计大赛、100件高水平作品齐聚一堂,是一次十分难得的机会,所有人都可以从此次展览中受益良多。


参展方代表,澳大利亚国际设计奖创始人罗伯特·蒂勒先生和芬兰拉赫蒂国际海报三年展主席佩卡·洛伊里先生分别上台进行了发言。他们在肯定了此次展览的观赏价值之外,还特别强调了此次展览的平台作用,不同的展览和来自世界各地的设计师能通过“上海设计10×10”这个平台进行交流,共同促进世界设计的向前发展,也有助于“上海设计”在世界上有更高的影响力。


当天下午,“上海设计10×10国际大赛论坛”在上海大学行政楼学术报告厅展开。



参加开幕式的嘉宾,以及上海美术学院师生近三百人参加了此次论坛,论坛上半场由陈青教授主持。




Robert Tiller(澳大利亚)


罗伯特·蒂勒首先发表了题为《澳大利亚国际设计奖项目》的演讲,他介绍了澳大利亚设计协会的历史和其建立初衷——建立和推动高标准的设计。他认为设计是一种工具,好的设计会影响所有的人、社会、乃至整个环境。可持续性和可操作性是设计中最重要的部分,设计者在设计的过程中应该以人性为中心,让世界更加美好。




林宜君Yi-Jiun Lin(德国iF)


林宜君女士演讲的主题为《iF:设计推动创新》,介绍了该奖项的组织构成和评奖原则。iF最早由德国工业设计界联合成立,志在恢复战后德国的产业,创建新的未来,鼓励以设计推动产业发展,至今已有超过60年的历史。组织在近年来也进行了积极的改变,成立相关基金以促进设计领域的科学研究、教育、文化、社会参与和环境可持续发展,并进行了数字化的转型。iF设计奖的范围也十分广泛,包括产品设计、包装设计、服务设计、建筑、室内设计以及专业概念,并有设计新秀奖用于鼓励学生的设计作品,她也欢迎上海美院的同学参与其中。



Pekka Loiri(芬兰)


佩卡·洛伊里的演讲的题目是《创意即新意》,他认为设计者应该先思考、再做计划、最后进行设计,在这个过程中需要保持专注和严肃。同时,设计师还需要具备将故事的理念转达给受众的能力。接着他介绍了设计的价值所在,他举了斧子、椅子等诸多实际案例,设计需要别具一格,跳出常规思维来思考问题,才能让其价值得到最大限度的发挥。




林磐耸(中国台湾)


林磐耸先生则发表了题为《全球学生设计新星奖:全球学生创意设计大赛-台湾》的演讲,介绍了比赛的概况。比赛自2008年至今已成功举办了11届,并和多个组织保持了密切的联系,同时也有奖金较高、报名简单等特点,得到了广泛的参与和社会影响。接着他还对明年的竞赛进行了预告,“Empathy”,倡导换位思考、将心比心。随后,林磐耸先生现场播放了相关影片推广,以此总结组织在一年中取得的相关成就。




许礼贤(中国)


接着,许礼贤先生发表了题为《面向世界,影响未来》的演讲,当今世界,设计作为蓬勃发展的创业核心的能量,也是国家战略最重要的部分之一,推动着世界的经济、文化、生活的发展。在2017年,其组织GDC的活动有GDC Show,GDC Voice等,希望以开放、平等的交流形式来激发碰撞设计潜在的力量和影响力,在更宽阔的语境里面来探索设计的潮流,来沉淀学术的成果。接着他介绍了一些GDC17的获奖优秀作品,并介绍了其在11月份的最新成果——GDC17的纪念手册。




Serge Serov(俄罗斯)


论坛的下半场由林磐耸教授主持,谢尔盖·谢洛夫首先上台,他的演讲题目是《Golden Bee: Global & Local》,他认为艺术家的中心应该是“一切始于爱”。他介绍了俄罗斯先锋派和其金蜜蜂奖的来历,他们曾在苏联时期受到严重的打压,在上世纪90年代后才逐渐恢复并开始了新的黄金时期,金蜜蜂也成为了俄罗斯开放的一个标志,金蜜蜂奖以海报作品为主,范畴也从手工制作转向计算机。同时,金蜜蜂奖也会邀请一些优秀作品,以进一步促进俄罗斯海报艺术的发展。




Isabella Chow周咏贤(中国香港)


周咏贤女士进行了题为《汇集优秀设计,展现亚洲未来——DFA亚洲最具影响力设计奖》的发言,她表示DFA亚洲最具影响力设计奖是DFA组织下属的一个设计奖项目,此奖项面向全世界,并希望能将优秀设计在亚洲落地生根,此外奖项还设有文化、科技、学习、发展等分奖项,用于奖励那些在某一方面特别突出的设计作品,此外她还现场展示了公墓、机器狗等获奖作品。



白金男(Baik Kumnam)(韩国)


《韩国的现代海报文化(1945-2018)》是白金男先生的演讲题目,他认为韩国从上世纪中期的一穷二白,到如今的经济发达,造就了韩国当代人民的特性,恨、情、兴这三个字是韩国文化的关键词。接着他展示了这几十年期间韩国海报的一些作品,内容有过节时的传统游戏、民俗信仰、世界杯等,真实反映了各个时期的社会变革。




Eric Cruz(美国)


埃里克·克鲁兹先生的讲话题目是《今夕创明日》,他提到中国曾经是世界上最有创造力的国家,目前也经历从世界上最大的工厂转变成世界上最大的消费大国的过程,中国正在创造和改变全人类的未来。“创新是引领国家发展的不竭动力。”他希望和组织一起实现中国对未来的美好愿景,将概念变化成生活习惯,要把一个制造的心态变成创新的哲学。比如其组织在尝试用汗水作为货币,进行商品的购买,以促进人们运动习惯的养成。亚洲目前占有世界上大量的人口,他相信其必将在未来成为推动世界发展的力量。



Finn Nygaard(丹麦)


最后,芬·尼嘉德先生进行了题为《40年创作“剪影”》的发言,他首先介绍了丹麦的一些传统设计作品、如家具设计,以及音乐演奏等,接着他介绍了他的海报作品,他在其中融入了很多音乐的元素,让观众能透过图像感受其中的韵律,感受想象的余味。讲话的第三部分,尼嘉德先生介绍了意大利、日本、韩国等地点的海报作品,展示了比赛的整体风貌,让观众感受了海报的魅力。



在论坛的最后,陈青教授进行了总结发言,她再次向到访并进行发言的各位专家代表、以及所有关注此次活动的人们表示了感谢,并预告上海美术学院将在之后每年举办“上海设计10×10”的展览,进一步推进“上海设计”的国际化进程。据悉,此次“上海设计10×10”展览将持续到2019年1月3日,欢迎广大师生和社会各界人士前往上海美术学院观展,现场领略国际领先的设计风采。

On December 18, 2018,“Shanghai Design 10×10”exhibition was grandly opened at the Art Museum of Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts. This exhibition aims to enhance the international influence of“Shanghai Design”and promote the promotion of“Shanghai Design”worldwide. The expert representatives from the 10-top design competitions attended the opening ceremony, they are:Chairman of Taiwan Design Alliance, Chairman of Chinese Industrial  Designers Association, Chairman of Taiwan Cultural and Creative Industry  Alliance Association, Host of International Student Design Competition- Taiwan, Curator of“Shanghai Design 10×10”exhibition, Apex Lin, Pang  Soong;Chairman of Golden Bee Moscow Global Biennale Of Graphic Design, Dr. Serge Serov;Founder of Good Design Australia, Robert Tiller;General Manager of iF Design Award Shenzhen Company, Lin Yijun;Project Planner of DFA Design Award of Hong Kong Design Centre,Isabella Chow;Chairman of Shenzhen Graphic Design Association, Xu Lixian;Chairman of Lahti Poster Triennial - International Poster Exhibition In Finland, Pekka Loiri;Member of Alliance Graphique Internationale, Finn Nygaard;President of the Korean Association of Industrial Artists (KIAA),consultant  of Korea Modern Design Association (KECD), consultant of Korea Visual Information Design Association (VIDAK), Baik Kumnam;AKQA Shanghai’s Executive Creative Director, Global Visual Image Creative Design Director of Nike, Eric Cruz.



Designers, teachers and students from SAFA also attend the ceremony, including director of SAFA's Committee, Chen Jing; associate dean of SAFA, Chen Qing; deputy party secretary of SAFA, Wang Lingshan; director of the department of design, Zhaoyang; director of the department of architecture, Wei Qin. director of digital department, Li Qiansheng; director of the department of handicrafts, Guo Xin.



The opening ceremony was hosted by Professor Chen Qing, deputy dean of SAFA. She first gave a brief introduction to the background of the exhibition. This exhibition invited the best ten design competitions from all over the world, and each competition will select 10 outstanding award-winning works to participate in the exhibition. The exhibition is organized in the form of exhibitions, seminars and albums to build the best platform for combining "big competitions, grand prizes, masters" of global design, and shapes the world's highest level of design interaction“The World of Design Awards”. Ms. Chen Jing gave a welcome speech on behalf of the organizer. First of all, she expressed her warm welcome to the experts who came from afar. She said that design can be said to have a pivotal position in human history. The history of development is the history of a design. Today, our pursuit of beauty and life meaning makes the design more important than ever in the process of creation, and the territory of design has also expanded unprecedentedly. SAFA hopes to take this opportunity to enhance the technical level of“Shanghai Design”and enhance the international influence of“Shanghai Design”.



Then, the chief curator of the exhibition, took the stage to speak. In his speech, he expressed his gratitude to all those who supported the competition. He believed that the collection of ten top design competitions and 100 high-level works was a very rare opportunity for everyone to benefit from the exhibition.


Representatives of the exhibitors, Robert Tiller and Pekka Loiri gave their speech respectively. In addition to affirming the ornamental value of the exhibition, they also emphasized the platform role of the exhibition. Different exhibitions and art experts from all over the world can communicate through the platform of“Shanghai Design 10×10”to promote the forward development of world design and also helps "Shanghai Design" to have a higher influence in the world.


In the afternoon, the main forum of the exhibition was held in the lecture hall of the administrative building of Shanghai University.



About 300 people in all aparticipated in the forum, including the guests who participated in the opening ceremony, teachers and students of SAFA. The first half of the forum was presided over by Professor Chen Qing.




Robert Tiller


Robert Tiller's speech entitled "Good Design Australia", which introduced the history of the Australian Design Association and its original intention - to establish and promote high standards of design. He believes that design is a tool, and good design can affect all people, society, and the whole environment. Sustainability and operability are the most important parts of the design. Designers should focus on humanity and make the world a better place in the design process.




Yi-Jiun Lin


Lin Yijun's speech named "iF Design Award, Design Drives Innovation". She introduced the organization and awarding principles of the award. First established by the German industrial design community, iF aimed to restore German industry after World War II, create a new future, and encourage using design to promote industrial development. It has been more than 60 years old. The organization has also undergone positive changes in recent years, establishing funds to promote scientific research, education, culture, social participation and environmental sustainability in the design field, and has undergone a digital transformation. The iF Design Awards range from product design, packaging design, service design, architecture, interior design and professional concepts, as well as design rookie awards to encourage students' designs. Pekka Loiri


The title of Pekka Loiri's speech is "Creativity is Innovation". He believes that designers should think first, plan again, and finally design, in which process need to remain focused and serious. At the same time, designers need to have the ability to convey the concept of the story to the audience. Then he introduced the value of the design. He gave many practical cases such as axe, chair, etc. The design needs to be unique and jump out of conventional thinking to think about the problem, so that the value can be maximize.




Apex Lin, Pang Soong(Taiwan,China)


Apex Lin, Pang Soong delivered a speech titled "International Student Design Competition-taiwan" and introduced the overview of the competition. The competition has been successfully held for 11 sessions since 2008, and has maintained close contact with many organizations. At the same time, it has the characteristics of high bonus and simple registration, and has gained extensive participation and social influence. Then he also announced the keyword of next year's competition, "Empathy", advocating empathy and heart. Subsequently, he gave a live video promotion to summarize the achievements of the organization in the year.




Xu Lixian(China)


Name of Xu Lixian's speech is "Facing the world·influencing the future". In today's world, designing energy as the core of a thriving entrepreneurship, is also one of the most important parts of a national strategy, driving the development of the world's economy, culture and life. In 2017, GDC activities include GDC Show, GDC Voice, etc., and hope to stimulate the potential power and influence of collision design in an open and equal communication form, and explore the trend of design in a broader context, precipitate academic results. He then introduced some of GDC17's award-winning works and introduced its latest achievement in November, the GDC17 commemorative manual.




Serge Serov


In the second half,  Apex Lin, Pang Soong presided the forum. Serge Serov first took the stage and the name of his speech is "Golden Bee: Global & Local". He believes that the center of the artists should be "everything begins with love." He introduced the origins of the Russian avant-garde and Golden Bee Award. They were severely suppressed during the Soviet era. They gradually recovered and began a new golden age after the 1990s. The Golden Bee has also become a sign of Russian open. The Golden Bee Award is based on poster works, and the category has also shifted from handcrafted to computer. At the same time, the Golden Bee Award will also invite some excellent works to further promote the development of Russian poster art.




Isabella Chow


Then, Isabella Chow gave her speech named "Bringing together outstanding designs to showcase the future of Asia--DFA Design for Asia Awards". She said that DFA Design for Asia Awards is a design award for DFA. The award is open to the world and hopes to bring outstanding design to Asia. In addition, the awards include culture, technology, learning, development, etc. to reward design works that are particularly prominent in one aspect. In addition, she also presented award-winning works such as cemeteries and robot dogs.



Baik Kumnam


Baik Kumnam's speech named "Korean modern poster culture (1945-2018)". Sorth Koera people were poor in the middle of the last century, and today the economy is developed. It created the characteristics of the contemporary Korean people. The words hate, affection and fun are the key words of Korean culture. Then he showed some works of Korean posters during these decades, including traditional festival games, folk beliefs, and the World Cup. It truly reflects the social changes in various periods.



Eric Cruz


Eric Cruz took a speech titled "Today Creates Tomorrow", He mentioned that China was once the most creative country in the world. It is also undergoing the process of transforming from the world's largest factory to the world's largest consumer power. China is creating and changing the future of all mankind. "Innovation is the inexhaustible driving force for the development of the country." He hopes to work with the organization to realize China's vision of the future, to change the concept into a habit of life, and to turn a manufacturing mentality into an innovative philosophy. For example, its organization is trying to use sweat as a currency to purchase goods to promote the development of people's exercise habits. Asia currently has a large population in the world, and he believes that it will become a force for the development of the world in the future.



Finn Nygaard


Finn Nygaard's speech named "40 years of creation 'silhouette'". He first introduced some traditional Danish design works, such as furniture design, music performance, etc. Then he introduced his poster works, he incorporated a lot of music elements, let the audience feel the rhythm through the image and feel the aftertaste of imagination. In the third part of the speech, Mr. Nigard introduced posters from Italy, Japan, Korea and other places, showing the overall style of the competition, and letting the audience feel the charm of the poster.



At the end of the forum, Professor Chen Qing gave a concluding speech. She once again expressed her gratitude to the representatives of the experts who visited and spoke and all the people who paid attention to the event, and predicted that the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts will hold "Shanghai Design a 10×10”exhibition every year to further promote the internationalization of“Shanghai Design”. It is reported that the "Shanghai Design 10×10" exhibition will last until January 3, 2019. Teachers, students and people from all walks of life are welcome to visit the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts to appreciate the world'sleading design.
